The Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA) will host two live Hours of Service (HOS) question & answer (Q&A) sessions this month.

Live Hours of Service Q&A Session with FMCSA

Each webinar will address the number of hours that a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) driver can be on the road and the number of hours a CMV can be on duty before a required period of rest. Allowed driving time based upon a driver’s on-duty hours in a “work week” will also be addressed.

The one-hour sessions will allow participants to submit HOS related questions and have them answered by FMCSA subject matter experts. The FMCSA’s Chief of Driver and Carrier Operations Division, Tom Yager and the Lead Transportation Specialist, Peter Chandler will be addressing some of these questions. Questions can be emailed in advance of the live webinar to NTCHost@dot.gov or submit them during the Q&A session.
