ACE Heavy Haul’s Safety Department, along with other company officials, will be hosting two safety meetings in July and August to help drivers prepare for the upcoming Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) Brake Safety Week in September and to give drivers some overall safety tips in regards to other safety topics. ACE Heavy Haul to Host Safety Meetings in July & August

The company will specifically cover tricks to improve a driver’s overall safety score during roadside inspections like Brake Safety Week, safety statistics, roadside inspection trends, hours-of-service (HOS) and various topics relating to electronic logging device (ELD) operation and compliance.

Brake Safety Week

CVSA’s Brake Safety Week, being one of the main topics covered during each meeting, is September 16-22 this year. During the week-long blitz, law enforcement will conduct inspections on commercial motor vehicles (CMV) in order to identify and remove critical brake violations from the nation’s roadways.

Each inspection will serve the purpose of identifying out-of-adjustment brakes, and brake-system and antilock braking system (ABS) violations as part of the CVSA’s Operation Airbrake Program, according to a CVSA news release.
