ACE Heavy Haul is proud to announce the company’s fleet had zero ELD/HOS (hours-of-service) violations during the 2018 CVSA Roadcheck.
The 72-hour inspection blitz had a focus on ELD/HOS violations and ACE Heavy Haul and its sister companies, Medallion Transport & Logistics and NHH Services had no ELD/HOS violations discovered.
Roadcheck 2018 was held June 5-7, and over a 72-hour period, law enforcement were checking for operating credentials and hours-of-service documentation.
During the 2017 Roadcheck, the main reason any drivers were placed out of service was due to HOS violations, according to the CVSA. That, coupled with the recent ELD mandate, led to the focus of this year’s blitz.
Under the current federal HOS rules, a commercial motor vehicle driver may not drive after having been on duty for 70 hours in any 8 consecutive days. The driver must take 34 hours or more consecutive hours off duty before returning to work. For specifics on the HOS regulations, visit the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Hours of Service Regulations page.
